Hi-Tek Heat Set Supercoat in a powdered format. Same product as the liquid version but in an easy to use powder.
Hi-Tek powder is built with the latest generation resins and has the 2-extreme catalyst built in. To use, simply measure out the appropriate amount of powder and add Acetone or M.E.K. (15 ounces of powder makes up to 71 fluid ounces (2.2 quarts) of bullet coating).
Complete instructions are included.
Hi-Tek works great to encapsulate lead bullets and it is a huge time saver compared to using my Lube sizer. Just be sure to keep your application bottle, mixing container and drying pans clean! The old dried material will dissolve but then causes bullets to be rougher. Also this recommends NOT sizing before applying the product. I typically size using a Lee sizer die before applying the first coat and after applying the last coat and I've never had adhesion problems. I use a nonstick oven sheet in the pan in my dedicate toaster oven and that works great.

I came from standing all of my bullets up and powdercoating them with an electrostatic powder gun from HF. Hi-tec saves so much time, bigger batches, less work and my bases are coated now. Love it. I wish I would of bought sooner. Brekken on Nov 24th 2020
This coating works great and is easy to use. Just make sure to follow the directions which are included. I mixed up 300ml worth and coated just over 500 405gr 45-70 bullets and about 600 160gr 38/357 bullets. I coated all with 3 coats and had just a little over half what i mixed left. I cannot say enough good things about Hi-Tek coatings or the company that distributes it here in the USA.
As easy as these products are to use, sometimes a little help can go a long way. Donnie answers the phone and gives great advice when problems arise. This is the hallmark of a great company - pride in their product and an understanding of how it is applied.
The Hi-Tek coating itself is easy to use. Just follow the instructions and you’ll find that there’s a reason why so many commercial manufacturers of lead bullets here in the U.S.A. use this process for lubrication – it’s fast – it’s easy – and it shoots well.

We have been using this for a few years now and after a short learning curve if you take the time to do it right and store it properly it is a no fail process and a no fail coating. With proper bullet sizing, not rushing the drying time and paying attention to the oven temperature you get exactly what it is supposed to do. My granddaughter and I shoot every day and we get more time on the range and less time cleaning guns. We also get more time to maintain our brass. As an added bonus they sure do look good which adds confidence to our game. Cindy L on Jun 9th 2020
