I have used both wet and dry coatings. Both have been very easy to use. Can't say enough about this product. Awesome, if you try it, you will never use anything else. The ordering is easy. Their service is great and fast. Try it I promise you will love this product. I have dark green in the liquid And gold, Zombi green and dark cherry. Thomas Dees on Dec 30th 2015
I have been reloading and casting bullets for 40 years now. I have tried all the different types of lubes, waxes, powder coating, etc. This is by far the easiest to apply, the most even coating and user friendly of all i have tried. My main concern is that i am having so much fun coating bullets different colors, that i dont get a chance to shoot them. I am sold on this product. To me it is the best thing since sliced bread. I've used yhe liquid, this was my first try at the powder. I find it a bit easier to use, only 2 parts to mix, but the result is identical. Since its a bit cheaper with shipping, seems a better deal. Certainly will be buying again. Fred338 on Nov 28th 2015
I had been reading about different types of bullet coatings. I had tried some of the HF Powder coating and it sort of work, but it is somewhat of a challenge and there are "tricks" involved to making that product work correctly. Still the results were varied.
I came across the Hi-Tek Powder and NOW I AM HOOKED. This is absolutely the easiest bullet coating that I have found. I have got to pour more bullets now.
First Off: READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! This is very important to achieve optimum results. I cleaned the bullets that I was going to coat. This removes oils released from your hands while culling your cast bullets. I used Acetone because I had this on hand.
I mixed the Hi-Tek Powder according to the directions. I put the bullets that I was going to coat (45acp Lead Hollow Points) into a small paint plastic paint bucket. I added the coating. Do Not use much...a little goes a long way. Then I started to swirl and shake the bullets. You WILL SEE it change as the acetone evaporates. (The coating attaches to the bullets.) Once it changes, pour the bullets out on a screen and LET DRY! This is very important. Make sure they are DRY. Once dry, bake at the required temp and time. The first coating was good, but I wanted to see what the second coat would do. SUCCESS! These look like Commercially Available Coated Bullets. I will be ordering more colors soon.
Also Note: I purchased the 7oz size. This will do a lot of bullets.
THANKS!
